The official definition of niche marketing goes something like this: Niche marketing is a marketing strategy where an individual marketer will devote his or her time to promote a certain product or group of products to a specific group of people.
Let’s say that you find a website that offers you an incredible referral amount for getting a certain number of people to join, you think to yourself, ” Well, why not? It is only $20 to join and I can make about $100 back in no time.” This might be all very well, but then you discover, after you join that there is actually more to it than that and that you have do to XYZ to actually receive that money.
These kinds of affiliate marketing scams are similar to what occurs in other forms of marketing, called false advertising, and are actually quite common. With affiliate marketing you have to be sure to watch out for this kind of scam.
While this is not true for all affiliate marketing programs, mostly these are the guidelines to follow, and whatever you do, don’t get duped by the testimonials and words of others that are making so much money from it. These testimonials are usually paid for and not true at all! Affiliate marketing scams are sadly quite common, which means that your search for a real way to make money easily, might only just be starting and you may never find it, or it may take years to get anywhere.
In other words, when you want to become part of an affiliate marketing program, you should not get your hopes up. There are places that will offer legitimate ways to make money as an affiliate, but these are well known websites that might not really pay that much. Even so, this is much better than joining tons of other places and spending a lot of money on registration fees, only to find that they are affiliate marketing scams where you cannot make money, or that are far too difficult for someone just starting out.
